Chad Green closed the door on Anaheim and third baseman Evan Longoria hit a
homerun and had 3 RBI as the Baltimore Orioles outscored the Anaheim Angels 6
to 5.

Baltimore took the lead for good in the bottom of the 6th inning as they
scored 2 runs on 3 base hits. The biggest moment was provided by Longoria
who came through for the home fans when he tripled bringing home two
baserunners. This was a game of many highs and lows for the home town fans,
as the lead kept changing - 5 times in all.

The winning pitcher was Madison Bumgarner(1-0) who allowed 5 runs in 7
innings. Green recorded the save, his 1st. Drew Pomeranz(0-1) took the loss.
Baltimore scored big getting 6 runs off him in 5 and 1/3 innings.

'I had a little blister on my index finger before the game, but I thought it
was nothing.' Bumgarner said. 'I was lucky I got a win because I couldn't
put the ball where I wanted it.'
