Paul Goldschmidt jacked one out of the ballyard and had 2 RBI as the Milwaukee
Brewers beat the Cincinnati Reds by a score of 5 to 4.
Milwaukee came up with 4 runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning with the help of
4 hits. They would hold up as the winning runs. Cincinnati had a chance in
the 9th but they came up short.
The win was credited to Eduardo Rodriguez(1-0) who went 5 and 2/3 innings
allowing 1 run. Aroldis Chapman earned his 1st save. Clayton Kershaw(1-1)
was the loser. He was unable to control the Milwaukee offense and allowed 12
hits and 3 walks in 7 and 1/3 innings.
'Anytime you lose it hurts,' said Steve Pettke 'but it's losing the close ones
that really hurt.'
