Stephen Strasburg racked up an impressive total of 12 strikeouts and Joey
Votto knocked 2 homeruns as the Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Cincinnati
Reds in 11 innings by the score of 3 to 2 at Miller Park.
Both teams were tied at 2 runs apiece after nine innings. Milwaukee came out
on top in the 11th inning. After an out was recorded, Votto smashed a
solo-shot out of the park giving Milwaukee the win much to the delight of the
home town crowd. For the game Milwaukee out-hit Cincinnati 8 to 5.
Josh Hader(1-0) allowed no runs in 1 inning, and picked up the victory. Andrew
Miller(0-1) absorbed the loss in relief. Despite taking the loss, he whiffed
6 batters in 3 and 1/3 innings.
